Charles E. Hofmann started in the water treatment industry in 1935, working with W.H. and L.D Betz (now GE Water), for over 15 years. From there, he went on to become the General Manager of The Bird-Archer Company (founded in 1888, it was the oldest water treatment company in the U.S).
